April Favorites 2015

I can't believe that is already May! Which is an especially exciting month for me because it's my birthday month, yay for turning 20! Hoping that I get some new makeup and beauty items for my birthday that I can share! Here are some products that I've been really loving and getting a lot of use out of this month.

Drugstore Highlighters and blush for spring (Dupes included)

Hello all!

Let me start this post by saying that I have never owned a real highlighter cream or powder, yes I know. What have I been doing my whole life? I always figured I didn't need highlighter and that it would just be an extra step to add on to all the other things I already liked to do in my  makeup routine. I tend to get shiny so I thought that it would only make me look like a greasy sparkly mess and not have the glowing from within look that is its intended purpose. 

However after watching youtube video after youtube video and reading countless blog posts, I realized perhaps it wouldn't hurt just to try one. I looked up some quick reviews before I headed off to the drug store. In my research I found that there is quite a lot of good drugstore dupes for high end highlighters. Although they may not look like a similar product in the pan or tube, they come off as similar or the same as the high end products. Who doesn't love saving money? Seriously? Since Spring is here and the looks are bound to be lighter and more iridescent iI decided to try a few products out.

Just thought that I would mix up my posts a little bit and move it from makeup to fashion. I'm not sure why but for some reason I really like complete black and white outfits. Black and gold go so great together, really.

Bath & Body Works: Six Holiday Candles

My boyfriend knows how much I like room scents, candles and the like. So this Christmas he bought me this Holiday 6 Mini Candles set from Bath and Body Works. I love Bath and Body Works candles so I was simply put, overly excited about candles.
Included in the set are, as the title suggests, 6 mini candles each of a holiday scent. If you're wondering what the actual amount quantified in ounces is of a "mini" candle it is 1.3oz.
Individually they run for about $4.50, but as a set it apparently runs for $24.50, according to the price sticker my boyfriend carelessly neglected to remove.
For being small tea light sized candles they can burrrrrrn, and what I mean by that is that they burn for longer than what you would expect. On the bottom of the candle it states they burn for approximately 10 hours. I can't say whether this is true or not because I've haven't burned on fully through. With six fragrance options I find myself carouseling them around in turns.

Collection Noir Liquid Black Liner: A Review

This was a purchase that I did no prior research on before purchasing it. I had just run out of foundation, concealer, and liquid liner all at the same time. It was a travesty right? So I went out to Ulta and had faith in my judgement of picking out some products that could work for me. In doing so, I picked up the NYX Collection Noir Liquid Black Liner.

Hopes of 2014

2013

So here we are. 2013 has come and gone and 2014 has just arrived. Currently it's 1:29 AM here in Central California and although I'm saying good bye to 2013, it's not going away without attention. There was a lot of great moments I had and things I did in 2013. For starters, I graduated High School in June. I celebrated my first year anniversary with my boyfriend. I turned 18 in may, and I got my license. I completed my first semester of college and I earned good grades . I mean, wow, that's a crazy amount of accomplishments. Now that that's all over I would like 2014 to be filled with just as many accomplishments.
